Program

The program at Lávdan Sámi Arena is divided into sections with varying access for participants. The KulturSápmi and DutkanSápmi programs are for pre-registered guests only. If you are registered for the general program, you can freely browse the other parts of the program and choose which sessions you participate in. The cultural program is open to all participants.

Please refer to Prográmma for detailed information on the different sessions. During the week any changes to the program will be announced in our instagram account @lavdansamiarena. 

Venues

Please note that there are sessions taking place all over Guovdageaidnu. The General Lávdan program takes place at different locations. Please have a look in the program information about each session to find the location. KulturSápmi is located at Beaivvaš and DutkanSápmi at Sámi Allaskuvla.

Interpretation

Most sessions at Lávdan Sámi Arena have interpretation to multiple languages. Our interpretation is organized via Zoom, please bring your own headphones or earbuds to access the interpretation. Detailed instructions can be found at the venues or through a Saami Council employee.

You can follow Lávdan Sámi Arena on Instagram at @lavdansamiarena, feel free to tag our account. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let either the photographer or the Saami Council staff member know at your venue.

Registration

Upon arrival, please refer to the registration desks to collect your name tag. KulturSápmi and DutkanSápmi registrations are at the assigned venues, while the general program registration is at Thon Hotel Kautokeino.

Wednesday 11.6. 08:00-10:00

If you need to register in a later phase please find information at Thon hotel’s reception.

Accommodation

All participants who have booked accommodation through the Lávdan Sámi Arena will have received a confirmation email with accommodation details. Please refer to lavdan@saamicouncil.net for general questions and to your assigned accommodation for detailed information.

Meals

General program participants can buy lunch and dinner coupons by the registration desk. The lunch coupon costs 300 NOK and the dinner coupon 400 NOK, and can be used at Thon Hotel Kautokeino for lunch and Báktehárji (tue-thu) and Thon Hotel (fri-sat)  for dinner. Lunch and dinner is included for KulturSápmi and DutkanSápmi participants during the conference days.

• Lunch at Allaskuvla is served 12:00-13:00 on Tuesday and Saturday
• Lunch at Thon Hotel Kautokeino is served at 11:30-13:30 from Wednesday  to Friday.
• Dinner at Báktehárji is served;
• Tuesday: 18.00-20.00 at the opening (opening starts at 17.30)
• Wednesday to Thursday: 17:00-20:00 from. Restaurant open also at the Thon Hotel. 
• Dinner at Thon Hotel is served at 17:00-20:00 Friday and Saturday. 

Rema1000 open from 07:00-23:00 (closed on Sundays and on Monday 9th)

Coop Extra open from 07:00-23:00 (closed on Sundays and on Monday 9th)
